MALARIA PREVENTION EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

AT ODUMAN (ABLEKUMA WEST) IN CONJUNCTION WITH "MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY"

Progressive Youth and Welfare Club will embark on a day celebration dubbed "MAKE A DIFFERENCE" in conjunction with Barclays Bank Limited,this is an annual event organised under the sponsorship of Barclays Bank of Ghana.PYWC will undertake malaria prevention educational program at Oduman,found on the outskirts of Ablekuma in Accra.The inhabitants are Gas who's occupation are mainly farming and construction.The community is now developing with most areas being waterlogged.There outbreak of malaria in this community,most cases are reported with about 20 patients being treated each week.The area is waterlogged so it breeds mosquitoes.PYWC will educate the youth and people in the community on measures as to prevent the spread of the disease.There will also be a clean-up exercise which involve the youth in the community.
